About this Workshop: Vaccine Mandates in the Workplace

On November 18, 2021, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law measures that immediately prohibit workplace COVID-19 vaccine mandates for private and public employers and began the process for Florida to establish a state occupational safety and health plan. Florida employers now have additional considerations besides following the status of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) emergency temporary standard (ETS), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) vaccine mandate, and the federal contractor vaccine mandate in Executive Order 14042. On December 3, 2021, the Florida Department of Legal Affairs issued an emergency rule establishing the procedure for private employer vaccination mandate complaints. The Department of Health has also issued emergency rules and forms implementing the statute. Join this webinar for a discussion of all of the Florida and federal mandates, updated status, how they intersect, and issues surrounding compliance.
