The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) mandates that training services for adults and dislocated workers be provided through approved training providers. WIOA emphasizes informed customer choice, system performance and continuous improvement. The Polk County Workforce Development Board, Inc., d.b.a. CareerSource Polk and hereinafter referred to as the “Board”, in partnership with State entities, identifies training providers and programs whose measurable performance qualifies them to receive WIOA funds. The State and the Board are required to administer the eligible provider process to ensure that a significant number of competent providers offering a wide variety of training programs and occupational choices are available to customers.
Florida’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) is the official source for approved training providers and programs that may be considered for Individual Training Account (ITA) funding under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
The ETPL is maintained by the State of Florida and includes information regarding approved providers, program offerings, costs, credentials, and performance outcomes.

Individual Training Accounts (ITAs)
Participants seeking training through an Individual Training Account (ITA) should review programs available through Florida's Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). Selection of a provider or training program from the ETPL does not constitute approval for WIOA-funded training assistance. All requests for training assistance must be reviewed and approved by CareerSource Polk before enrollment.
Other Training Opportunities
In addition to programs available through the ETPL, CareerSource Polk may support skills development through employer-based workforce strategies, including On-the-Job Training (OJT), Customized Training, Incumbent Worker Training, Apprenticeship-related opportunities, and other training strategies authorized under applicable workforce programs. Availability of these opportunities depends on employer participation, funding availability, and program requirements.
