Who can apply for the 2026 Summer Youth Internship Program?
- Polk County Residents who are:
- High School Students OR
- College Students AND
- Ages 16-21
- High School Students OR
The program runs for approximately 8 weeks, and interns will have the opportunity to work up to 30 hours per week earning wages of $15 per hour!
Looking to try out a specific career field? There are multiple industries available!
We’ll do our best to match you with your preferred areas in the Summer Youth Internship Program, but we can’t guarantee you’ll get placed in any of these selections.

2️⃣ Prepare your eligibility documentation: These will need to be uploaded as part of your application.
3️⃣ Complete the Program Application: After reviewing and signing the checklist, you’ll receive the application link via email.
📌 Important: The application MUST be completed by the applicant. Applicants MUST BE residents of Polk County, Florida.
