POLK COUNTY, FL. (April 20, 2026) – CareerSource Polk announces that registration is now open for its Annual Meeting and Best Places to Work Awards Breakfast, taking place Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 8:00 am at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. FL. This year’s event marks a major milestone as CareerSource Polk celebrates 30 years of workforce development and support in Polk County.
The 2026 Annual Meeting and Best Places to Work Awards Breakfast will bring together business leaders, community partners, and workforce champions for a dynamic and engaging morning. Attendees will hear from industry leaders across generations, offering fresh perspectives on today’s workplace and what’s ahead. The program will also include the presentation of the annual Workforce Incentive Awards and the celebration of Polk County’s top employers as the 2025 Best Places to Work. This year’s event will introduce a fun and interactive theme, “For the LOVE of Men… of the Workforce,” featuring a community-wide, pay-to-vote fundraiser running April 20 through July 20, 2026. Community members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite participant, with all proceeds benefiting the Workforce Incentive Awards.
As CareerSource Polk celebrates 30 years of impact, this year’s event places a strong emphasis on giving back. With more than $70,000 raised last year, the goal for 2026 is to surpass that amount through sponsorships and community participation, directly supporting local job seekers on their path to self-sufficiency. Established in 2019, the Workforce Incentive Awards provide critical support to Polk County residents pursuing employment and career advancement, including assistance with transportation, childcare, housing, food stability, education, and training.
