State of the Workforce Summit

CareerSource Polk’s 2023 State of the Workforce Summit in partnership with Ogletree Deakins is designed for company executives, human resource professionals, managers, and supervisors. This dynamic event will kick off with Dr. Christopher Laney, EdD, MBA, CWDP, Senior Workforce Strategist of Lightcast, providing insight on the state of Polk County’s workforce. Eight (8) breakout sessions will provide proven tools and strategies to help businesses hire, train, motivate and retain their workforce.

Some of today’s trending topics will be addressed including: The Benefits Cliff and its impact on a company’s ability to recruit, the legal ramifications of drug screening, the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in today’s workplace, etc. Sessions will be conducted by legal employment law experts, professional economic development and workforce strategists, chief executives of human resources and talent management, and more.

Registered attendees may receive up to 4 continuing education credits including Professional Development Credits for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and HRCI General Recertification towards PHR, SPHR and GPHR.
