January 26 – CareerSource Polk hosted the 2017 State of the Workforce Summit with topics such as Overtime Regulations, LGBT in the Workplace, Catering to an Hourly Workforce, and Five Ways to Destroy Your Business. The keynote speaker was Bill Grob of Ogletree Deakins who discussed “What We Can Expect After the Election”.

March 17 – The CSP Young Leaders held the What’s Next Expo with great success and participation.

March 30 – The 2017 Spring Job Fair was hosted at Lake Mirror Complex Auditorium from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and veterans received early admittance 3:00 p.m.

August 17 – CareerSource Polk’s Annual meeting and Best Places to Work Awards breakfast had a huge turnout and the participants were immersed in the celebration of “Polk’s Got Talent”!

October 19 – The 2017 Fall Job Fair was hosted at Lake Mirror Complex Auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and veterans received early admittance 9:30 a.m.
